The Grand Hotel Moderne was built in 1890, and stands just 100 meters from the shrine of Notre Dame in the center of the historic pilgrims' destination of Lourdes. The hotel's 110 rooms are decorated in rich colors, with reproduction French antique furniture and all have balconies with views of the shrines, Pyrenees mountains or Lourdes itself. Standard room amenities include climate control, hairdryers, and direct dial phones.
Guests can dine in the Art Nouveau dining room, with its imposing pillars, mirrors and chandeliers, which serves both French and Italian dishes and is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Outside Lourdes, guests can visit the B�tharram caves (15 kilometers), the Pyrenees mountains (40 kilometers), or take a trip to the coast at Biarritz (160 kilometers).
