La Citadelle is a smart modern hotel housed in an imposing 16th century fortress set the centre of historic Metz. This three floor property features 79 guestrooms decorated in refined contemporary tones with modern, dark wood furnishings. All rooms provide direct dial phones, plasma screen televisions with cable channels and wireless Internet; ensuite bathroom include tubs, showers, and hair dryers.

Taxis are the most common way of getting to the hotel and are readily available from the Airport's Arrivals terminal. Metz is well served by a local bus network and taxis can be ordered easily by night or day; whilst Metz's train station is on the line linking Paris Gare de l'Est with Luxembourg. Direct trains also go to Nancy, Strasbourg, and Verdun.
