Location. The Barcelo Casablanca is a modern 14 floor hotel set in Casablanca's business and shopping district, two kilometres from the Hassan II Mosque and four kilometres from the sea. Casablanca Mohamed V International Airport is 30 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 35 minutes.
Hotel Features. In addition to two restaurants, the Barcelo Casablanca Hotel also offers a modern snack bar and a tearoom serving fine teas and local cakes and pastries. Complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby, and multilingual staff are on hand to provide concierge services. Expert Tip. Casablanca's attractions include the Hassan II Mosque, the second largest Mosque in the world, which houses a museum and steam baths. Special guided tours are available throughout the day for non Muslims. Also worth visiting is the Old Medina, partly enclosed by the old wall, a maze of narrow streets, whitewashed houses and shops.

Getting there. A train service runs from the airport to Gare Casa Port once an hour, with a journey time of 90 minutes. The train station is three kilometres from the hotel. Taxis can be found outside arrivals and have fixed day and night fares. A typical fare to the hotel is approximately 30 EUR. Casablanca is a large city and taxis are the best way to get around. There are two types of taxi, a shared taxi that takes up to six passengers, and smaller red taxis that take three passengers. Ask the driver to use the meter or negotiate the price before setting off. Trains and buses run regularly between Casablanca and Marrakech.
