Location. The Radisson SAS Hotel is a classic Old Town building located on the Royal Mile, the oldest street in Edinburgh, Scotland. It lies between Edinburgh Castle at the top of the Royal Mile and Holyrood Palace at the bottom. The Museum of Scotland and the famous shops of Princes Street are two blocks away. Edinburgh Airport (EDI) is seven and a half miles from the hotel, while Edinburgh Waverley train station is two blocks away.
Hotel Features. The turrets of the 16th century building housing the Radisson SAS Hotel conceal a modern hotel. The lobby features pillars, leather chairs and soft lighting. The concierge desk can provide insider tips on the local area.
The salmon pink Carruber's Restaurant offers bistro style dining. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and has both a la carte and table d'hote menus. Itchycoo Bar and Kitchen is an intimate venue for light meals and afternoon tea beneath low ceilings. Cocktails, speciality coffees, and Scottish malt whiskies are available at the oak panelled bar.

From Edinburgh Airport (EDI):
Distance to Radisson SAS Hotel is seven and a half miles, approximately 25 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Airlink 100 operates express bus services to the city centre. Buses run every 10 minutes and depart from the bus station next to the terminal. An open return pass costs 5 GBP. The N22 night bus runs between midnight and 4 a.m. Taxis wait at a rank next to the terminal, and cost approximately 10 GBP 20 GBP to the city centre, depending on traffic and time of day. Waverley, Edinburgh's main railway station, can be reached by bus or taxi. Regular trains leave Waverley for Glasgow and most major destinations throughout Scotland and England. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The Radisson SAS Hotel is on the Royal Mile. Edinburgh city and the Lothian region are served by a good bus network. There are hop on, hop off stops for city bus tours throughout central Edinburgh. Black cabs are available from the streets. The historic centre's cobbled streets are best explored by foot. Driving is not recommended for visitors, due to the complicated one way systems.
