Location. The Carlton on Madison Avenue is located in New York City, N.Y., four blocks south of the Empire State Building. A circumference of nearly 200 miles can be seen from the Empire State Building's highest observation tower on a very clear day. Madison Square Garden and Penn Station are five blocks from the hotel. Times Square and Radio City Music Hall are within one mile. Central Park is less than two miles away. The hotel is located between the Murray Hill and Gramercy Park neighborhoods.
Hotel Features. The three story lobby waterfall cascading over a photo of the original 1904 hotel. Sun streams across the mosaic tiled floor from the 30 foot, Tiffany styled domed skylight. The Carlton on Madison Avenue offers coffee and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Country, the hotel's formal dinner restaurant, offers seasonal French American cuisine from notable New York chef/restaurateur Geoffrey Zakarian. There are three bars on site. The hotel's multilingual staff and 24 hour front desk are ready to answer questions from guests. The hotel provides conference space, banquet facilities and offers catering for meetings and events. Complimentary passes are available for a fitness center seven blocks from the hotel. This New York City hotel was built at the beginning of the 20th century and renovated in 2005 by renowned architect David Rockwell.
